Lilia C. Machado

Lilia C. Machado, born in Venezuela South America, obtained J.D. Cum Laude from Catholic University Andres Bello, Caracas. In order to continue her studies came to the United States in 1997 and obtained an LL.M from Georgetown University in 2000. As an Immigrant and Spanish native speaker she understands the necessities of the Hispanic Community and has always provided exceptional legal advice in their own language.

Lilia became part of Morrison & Reynolds in 1999 as paralegal assisting John C. Morrison in his practice. She was admitted to practice law in Virginia in 2002. Since then has assisted many Hispanic clients in the creation of their businesses, counseled in the purchase and sale of many businesses in the Metropolitan Area, and currently provides legal support to many businesses in the Northern Virginia area.

She is an important part of the probate practice matters in the Alexandria office which she performs in association with John C. Morrison.

As a corporate attorney she guides her clients during all the steps of the creation of a legal entity. In conjunction with owners, and accountants she makes sure that the business entity to be created is the best one according to the client needs and objectives.

Her knowledge and experience allowed her to be invited to participate as adjunct professor of NOVA. Ms. Machado teaches business law at Enterprise Development Group (ECDC) in Arlington Virginia.

Lilia C. Machado is also in the process of obtaining her certification as a mediator from the University of Saint Thomas. Using her mediation skills during a year assisted several clients of the Hispanic Committee of Virginia to resolve their disputes without Court intervention
